Senator Kimberley Kitching said she was bullied by Labor Party “mean girls” Penny Wong, Kristina Keneally and Katy Gallagher. Her friends and supporters claim the bullying was so bad it affected her health and contributed to her death from a heat attack. The three Labor Senators naturally deny the claim and say they are hurtful and untrue. Labor Leader Anthony Albanese has refused to investigate the claims and denied that Labor has and internal issue with bullying.
What is remarkable and despicable, but not surprising, about this story is the absence of any public outrage from Brittney Higgins, Grace Tame and their cabal of supporters in the left media who have so mercilessly attacked the Prime Minister Scott Morrison and the Liberal party over similar claims in the past.
I have heard no public statement from Ms Higgins and Tame or their supporters about this shocking example of alleged bullying, the need for a Labor Party investigation and the caviller dismissal of the allegations by Anthony Albanese.
Their last major appearance in the media for these two was the launching of the Safe. Respect. Equity Campaign. At the launch Grace Tame said “Every woman in Australia deserves access to a safe place to work, a safe place to live, fair and equal pay, quality free early learning & care, and a justice system that works for survivors”. Also at that campaign launch were Chanel Contos, Wendy McCarthy, Lucy Hughes Turnbull, Madison de Rozario, Michele O’Neil, Larissa Behrendt, Yasmin Poole and Georgie Den. I have hear nothing from these women about the Senator Kitchens bullying allegations.
it is fair to conclude that the silence of Higgins, Tame and their supporters is that they are only interest in publicly advocating for women when it can be weaponised against the political right and particularly the Prime Minister Scott Morrison. Their silence reveals these so called champions of respect and dignity for women in the work place for what they really are; self promoting , virtue signalling activists of the left.
